Our Mission
At Green Guard, our mission is to transform agricultural processing through innovation, sustainability, and farmer empowerment. We aim to minimize post-harvest losses, enhance product quality, and create lasting economic value for farmers and entrepreneurs around the world.
How it Started
Our story begins over 30 years ago with our founder, Bijoy John, in Anakara, Idukki. Born into an ordinary farming family, he deeply understood the challenges farmers faced: poor product quality and rising production costs. It was this vital insight that led him to design his very first machine: a groundbreaking Cardamom Dryer. The dryer was more fuel-efficient, time-saving, and most importantly, it preserved the natural green color and aroma of the cardamom — a true game changer for farmers.
In 1996, the company was officially established as Southern, later evolving into Kuttamthadathil Traders and Manufacturers, under which the Green Guard brand was born. Over time, the brand expanded to serve a wide range of agricultural needs, developing drying and processing machinery for over 101 different products, including spices, fruits, vegetables, and meat.
Today, Green Guard is recognized as a global leader in agricultural processing technology, with a strong presence across India, Sri Lanka, and Africa, and a reputation built on innovation, reliability, and sustainability.
